question, How can you differentiate them in a pedigree?

You will see X linked recessive only in men getting transferred from carrier mothers

Thanks I asking it bc I sow a question where a male was sick ( from carrier parents) his brother got married and they had an affected girl. ( brother and wife carrier) Wife have a sister sick . answer AR. How can you say it is AR and not X link in this case. ( they didn’t mentioned any symptoms that can help you identify the disease.
