Passed NCLEX-PN; 85 Questions

Hi! Just wanted to share my NCLEX experience to anyone else lurking around the forums.

I am a registered nurse in the Philippines (since 2016) and moved here to the U.S. last year. My Mom is an LVN so I decided to take my LVN as well while waiting for my CGFNS to take my NCLEX-RN.

Studied using mainly UWorld and Kaplan review book for two months prior to my NCLEX-PN.

Took my NCLEX-PN on June 16, 2017 and got my quick result this morning that I had passed at 85 items.

I was shocked to finish at only 85 items! My advice to others: Try to finish all of the items on the UWorld Qbank and then work on the questions you got wrong. Read the rationales (right and wrong) and familiarize the normal values (Sodium, Potassium, etc.) because it is a huge help while studying.

Also don't forget to take advantage of the Assessment on UWorld. In my case, I got a 61% (I think) on my 1st Assessment and 57% on my 2nd Assessment. I took them two weeks apart from each other and focused on my weak areas. Each assessment indicated I had a "Very High" chance of passing.

Just keep studying! I tried to finish 200 practice items a day 1 week prior to my actual NCLEX. Prayers (if you are religious) really help to as it can help you keep calm. Good luck everyone!
