Anyone ever get depressed studying?

Hey everyone

I am sure this is a silly question but i am wondering if anyone is out there like me. I am just becoming so depressed and distressed studying. I am sure most or everyone has that family baggage - you know those family members that think this is just a test and can not understand WHY your doing the same questions for the 3rd time and WHY your taking so long to take just a test. Perhaps i am the only one with an insane mother, and alot of baggage on my shoulders (single mother here and many loans). I am contemplating giving up working in a restaurant as a manager or something, or just any job to save myself.

In any case, sorry for taking up space to write this. Don't have anyone, either i write here or move out of my mom's and live in a shelter with my child.

Good luck all..... this field is certainly not for everyone, as they say if it were easy everyone would do this.

Kat--It is normal to get depressed studying. Studying is hard, can be lonely, frustrating, and can make us feel badly about ourselves. Everyone has been there and it sounds like you have a lot of other things on your plate. Its important to keep perspective. If you work hard, more than likely you'll pass. You've gotten this far, don't give up!! This too shall pass. Maybe you should take a full day off to refresh yourself. Or try to spend some time studying with classmates. Yoga or relaxation can be helpful as well. And if you find that your depression is making it hard to function or take care of your baby, then its time to seek some professional therapy. You can do it! Good luck. There are many many people out there in your shoes.

Thank you both for the response (although i was not expecting such)

I find peace in medicine as strange as that may sound. It takes me to a different place therefore i study endlessly. Its just difficult to cope with other things. In regard to my child - well she is in 1st grade therefore easier to handle now. I just find it difficult to handle my mother and everyone around me. Its a cultural difference combined with a misunderstanding of a career which requires much more then those not involved in it realize. I have little choice given my circumstances, i doubt any shelter would give me internet access or a laptop to study with so i have my moments. I deferred my exam because i felt i was not ready and each day makes me feel more prepared. I have considered other jobs options but realistically to find work that coincides with a child's schedule and no help is difficult, and besides putting this off will do me nor my only family member any good in the long run, therefore through many many tears i struggle on and hope and pray that i make it through so i can stop counting each tear that i shed.

- thank you again for the response i really really really do appreciate it.

A friend of mine got depressed while studying. All because they have a big course load. I don't know how to help him.

I think he can be helped. When a similar situation happened to me, my parents turned to Parenting - Calmerry for help. After going to a few online therapy sessions, they talked to me and we clarified the reasons why I got depressed. Definitely need to talk to his parents.

It is normal to feel depressed..keep your head up you are close to being done. You have worked hard to get to this point. I suggest spending time with study partners, make it fun. You are studying to not be a liability to any patient and to be the best you can be remember that

Studying takes a lot of energy. That's why you should rest sometimes. For example, you can go to https://onlinekasynopolis.pl/ and spend your free time for fun. It is games that help me relax and tune in to something important.
