I passed my NCLEX first try with 75 questions

10/26/2018 12:57:19 PM
I have been reading peoples post to know what really helped them. Now is my turn to share my experience and what really helped me. Wow I passed My NCLEX first try with 75 questions Big Grin am so happy and grateful to God for my dream a reality. Am now relaxed like I have never been for years. Here is what I did and things that helped me. I graduated August 31 2018. My school uses ATI and we did bunch of ATI questions each week for 16 weeks. I took my ATI exit and had 99% likelihood of passing NCLEX. Two months to my graduation I started listening to Comprehensive review video 1-29 on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIJ_HV_qt6M&t=6s)( I like how she teaches). I read only the ATI comprehensive NCLEX review book( the pink book) for my Exit. I purchased UWorld for two months so I could push myself to study ASAP. I read about people saying that Mark audio recording helped them. Someone I got his/her emailed here in UWorld sent it to me. It came with 12 recording but sometimes there don't finish playing(FYI). it came with a written part of the audio recording (Yellow book) and another blue book too. I did all the UWorld questions and I was making notes while taking the questions. I already about things I don't know while during the questions (ATI PINK BOOK, youtube, goggle and images). After I finished all the questions, I started reading my notes and mark blue and yellow books. Most people said after you finished all the questions, that you can do the ones you got wrong but I couldn't do it because I keep asking myself which one did I select before that made me fail so I don't select it again lol (it was frustrating to me). Then I stopped. I had to read my notes (2 note books lol Big Grin I write a lot. I find it hard to read without writing) and mark books the whole of 4 days to my exam date. And I did some ATI NCLEX readiness questions in all categories and I was so surprised that I got between 86.7%-93.3% in each practice assessment. I felt so confident of myself. So I decided to take the World Self-Assessment and I got 87th Very high chances of passing. Then I know I was ready to Take it. I had between 17-20 SATA, 1 drag and drop, a lot of prioritization (Majority), and mixture of all categories.
I will say everything I used helped me but the top 2 are UWorld and Mark Audio/book. To be honestly, NCLEX wasn't that challenging as I thought it would be. UWorld is harder than NCLEX which I think is good, so you will be more prepared. During the exam, I read the question first, then eliminate two, then read the question again eliminate one out of the remaining two, then read the question again to make sure my answer is related to what is asked. I made sure in the SATA that I only choose what I know. Anything I have no idea I DO NOT SELECT it. I was so relaxed taking the exam because the screen looks like UWorld, I felt I was taking UWorld question. When the screen shot down at 75th question I smiled and said to myself "YOU PASSED". The only distracting and annoying thing that happened during the Exam was that there was fire incident on one of the floors. The fire alarm was going on and off and announcement on and off too. I got so mad and confused for like 45mins. But we where asked to calm down and continue that our floor is safe. The floor affected where asked to leave. Focus on your rationale. I did 75 questions a day and when am stressed out I do 30-40 questions. got b/w 40%-90% each set of questions. 68th overall after I finished all World questions. Links below . Good luck.

Congratulations on your success I’m listening to the Mark Klimek lectures and he really helps you understand how to answer the questions. I take my nclex in a couple of months and I’m so nervous so I’m studying now until I get my ATT I’m not really doing content unless it’s my weak areas we used hesi in school not ATI which was so much more difficult than nclex style questions also do you have the book you could email me @[email protected]

I have both Old and New. I don't even know the one I posted. But I listened to the old one and it was really helpful. I listened to the New one a little then I realized is the same content so I didn't bother to continue.
