hi, i have never wrote on this forum but read almost all the publiations. i failed my first attempt last year in november 13, i did it again july 16 and pass. score 222. dont give up on your dreams. is difficult but not impossible.
in my first attempt i used.
1. goljan audio notes
2. doctors in training 2011
3. kapplan videos
4. first aids 2013 like 8 times
5. UWorld 2 times 58% overall first time unused ramdom
6. nbme 7 and 13. passed with low scores.
result of usmle step 1 186.

second time only did questions.
kaplan 2 times 62%
usmle rx 2 times 75%

wish u all luck. in my case i was good on basics but bad on answering questions so i worked that. and i think the most important thing is doing q banks and do it again as many times as you can, more than the other things. but thats just my opinion
