This is Tina from the CS forum. After CS I focused on step 1 studying. Received my score last week, took the exam end of year, after 7 months of intense, hard core preparation.
NBME 17 (6 weeks out): 236
NBME 15 (3 weeks out): 249
NBME 16 (1 week out): 256
My usmle 1 score 263. I'm so pumped! Very very excited!!!
I studied really hard for 7 months, I knew my basic sciences were not strong, I am Foreign graduate, had to work hard for a good score to get me to the residency of choice.
No substitute for hard work, be consistent and practice a lot.

I am an IMG and studying now with Kaplanlife on line. It super intens and every now and then i don t believe it s possible. But your score really is motivating for me. !!!

how did you start step on preparation , i mean in what order did you study, what did you study first with which references?
