USMLE Step 1 score 268

Background- USMLE Step 2 CK on Oct/2016

Preparation period- 4 months and 10 days ( 4 Nov/2016- 15 Mar/2017)

Used Materials- only FA and UW ( almost all the exam questions were covered in these two sources)

Approach
-Reading the whole chapter from FA then the same subject from UW and adding the new ideas to My FA ( 2 months)
-Used UW in random mode ( 1 month for all Q)
-Returned to FA ( at this time I started to do one self assessment every 4 days) X 1 month
-Last revision of FA ( 10 days)

Self assessment
-NBME 16 ( 256, first of Jan)
-UWSA 1 (273, 4 weeks before my exam)
-NBME 19(252, 2 weeks before my exam)
-UWSA 2 (264, 3 days before my exam)
-NBME 12&13&15&17 ( offline- about 10-15 mistakes)
-Real score (268)

Advice- Trust on UW and FA, no need to memorize anything out of these sources. The exam tests the ability to use the well known concepts, not how much you know.

Good luck in your journey

Hello doc,
Congratulations on such an amazing score...can you tell us on which subject did you get maximum questions in the exam and also which resources did you use for biostats?
Thanks in advance...and good luck!!

I noticed that the exam fair with all subjects, no one more important than other. As I mentioned, I did only FA and UW for all the subjects ( even Biostats ) without any additional resource.

Good luck
