My screen is not splitting and I have some sort of window that makes it annoying to navigate between the passage and the questions. Any idea about how to fix that?
I was experiencing something similar, but I'm not sure if its the same issue that you were facing. Do you have happen to have an image screenshot you could share? You could probably use a site like this
link to upload an image and share for determining if its the same issue.

Change your browser's screen size in order for it to change the interface back to vertical screen split
