I'm a last year medical student. I'm thinking of doing step 2 CK first. Should I study first then choose a day for the exam or the opposite?
And can you please tell me what books should I be studying?

Hi. I suggest you take an nbme first. If you get a passing score, then schedule a date. If not, study until you can get a passing score. Then set a date.

How can I take the NBME? I have no idea.

Make an account. Click on the "purchase services" link on the left and choose Comprehensive Clinical Science form 6. Pay and take the exam.
