Hi,

can anyone explain me how hypothyroidism leads to hypogonadotropic hypogonadism?

Thanks in advance!

Hey,
With primary Hypothyroidism, there is a subsequent increase in TSH/TRH...this elevation causes dopamine inhibition which will then stimulate prolactin release causing decreased levels of GnRH.
Also, prolactin is stimulated by TRH and serotonin!
