why high dose estrogen is used for the treatment of DUB(dysfunctional uterine bleeding)? Isn't dub is due to unopposed estrogen?

unopposed estrogen causes dysfunctional uterine bleeding,right? so why we give high dose estrogen for Dub treatment even though estrogen is the culprit of DUB.How does high dose estrogen stop dysfunctional uterine bleeding?

You give more estrogen to activate the feedback system. Just as you treat type 2 DM by giving more insulin.
