American Clinical Experience

Is anyone willing to pay for American Clinical/ hospital experience? I know we all try to get it for free, but what do you think is a fair price? I found an American hospital that allows you to get experience in chicago, but they want $500/week for an 8 week rotation. Is this a fair price? I mean that's $4000 usd, but you get a letter of recommendation from a US doctor and you get clinical experience in Chicago...what do you all think?

Well, i saw during my residency applications that some hospitals to provide observership. But if you are really after hands-on clinical experience... well... you can go for it. Its kind of costly especially that i am from the Philippines and 500 dollars/week is equivalent to more than 20,000 pesos already. But if you have no other option and you think its worth it to boost your application, i'll support you =). Best of luck to you =). but i do hope you can still find other options... or you can do preliminary IM first then use it as your US clinical experience for your succeeding application =)
