ccs

I have a question for the recent exam takers, with the new format put in place after Nov 2014, is UW ccs enough.

I have not taken step 3 yet, but more and more students are saying it is now harder than before with far more biostatistics questions. UW is excellent and could be enough, if you want something extra try mapping ccs. it is also good and helpful. good luck

Congratulations Sygon..

How did you prepare of the entire exam? What was your percentage of correct answers on Uworld qbank prior to taking the test, and what additional material to used for preparation (i.e MTB, ... )? If you have time, please add your experience with the exam itself. Thank you so much for all of your input!

I am sorry for being late to answer your questions. I used MTB, UW, Kaplan lecture notes, for ccs UW and mapping, my uwsa was something like 224.
good luck everyone.

I personally think UW questions and CCS are enough for step 3. I did half of CCS and 400 questions. I literally felt like I went into the exam cold. I passed with 204. A bad passing score but I just needed to pass. I took it at the end of my IM PGY-1 year. I spent like 3-4 nights to review peds/OBGYN and biostats. My message is that you don't need to use different resources to prepare for the tests. UWorld and MTB, or Uworld by itself should be more than enough.
