m really tensed abt the score..m an old img of 2007 passed out..wished to know is this score is compititive enough to get into a good internal medicine residency...had prep for it since 9m..had used kaplanq bank60%=av65,uworld total=58%scorin,usmlerx 90%completed=scoreed70%aver..had used kaplan books.for patho used ucv,goljan,kaopl lect,brspatho,pretest,robbins review...anat usedhy neuro,kaplan,gross anat,roadmap,brs gross n ucv..for micro used kaplan,murrays reviev of micro,..for biochem hy molecular n kaplan..for behavior used yh behaviour,cornard fisher,brs,ucv..for physio used brs,kalan...for pharmac used kaplan ,katzung n trevers..n finally did give nbmes n uworld self assesment..nbme7=240,nbme4=220 1month prior..uworld2=240..thts it..just m worried whether i can secure any int med residency on basis of these marks in a good institude...

I cant understand how you people with less then 99 (like 95 or 97) ask this stupid questions?? in most cases you need above score 85 or 90. and pass from 1st time. better worry of US experience and US LoRs/

m puzzeled abt wheher good institutes like harwards wud prefer an international candidate below 99..so was askin the q..2ndly wish to ask whether publication in indian indexed journal helps in cv..i have 3 publications done..

was thinkin of doin paid externship for 3 to 6 m..will it help..
