Hello, you could try making inquiries at the hospitals near where you live or the hospitals near you which provide services in the specialty that you want to pursue. Call the residency training coordinator for the training program OR the secretary to head of department, of your chosen specialty, in the hospital you select. Just ask if they have an observership program and if so, how you can apply. Generally, you should also be prepared to answer the questions they may ask you and have your curriculum vitae available to send by email if requested. Typically it is more helpful to do observership during the year when you want to enter the match, sothat you have current US referees to support your application. If you do an observership and then apply to the match years later, people may have forgetten about you. The ama~assn website has some links to observership programs. Good luck in your search. Mari
